While most of us agree with the notion that growing up is one of the most difficult parts of one’s life, majority of us only know this cliché by word and do not for a fact have the proper understanding on what really goes on in the mind of a child as he or she grows up. At one point or another, a child may suddenly feel that he or she is alone and no adult is able to help him or her.
Because of the very real implications of the problems associated with children’s development, there have been numerous efforts to provide support and help to these children. This is where Childline plays a vital role. Childline provides a support infrastructure that is accessible to the youth thru a free dial in system. It provides support to just about any subject matter that the child has a problem in such as Pre Marital Sex, Alcohol and the likes.
Some may argue that Childline directly competes with the role of parents and loved ones but as apparent in the setup, Childline provides a very useful service because it caters to cases wherein the association and trust of the child to an operator is unbiased while the opposite may prove to be true when parents and relatives are utilized.
Experience has taught us that problems can be handled in two very different ways. One can actually try not to talk about a problem and the other approach is to seek for help and divulge as much of the problem as possible. I bet you already know which works better especially for children.
Other than providing excellent service, the one big thing with Childline is that it’s free. Of course, you don’t expect a child in distress to concern himself/herself with financial matters before calling. This just proves that Childline is a well crafted and well thought of conception from the start.
